This is a very unusual example of the Halloween witch. She has the usual red and white cotton skirt, white cotton apron, and a black gauzy blouse and black felt cape with lace collar. Her hands, feet, and lower legs are carved wood, and she wears the usual cardboard pointed hat with painted red bow. However, her lower torso is a block of wood; and the upper torso has a windup mechanism which, when wound, causes her body to undulate, compressing and expanding in height at the same time. Her head is made of painted tin, and she wears her hair in a brown bun. There is a little wart on her jaw. She performs readily, and I'm assuming she's German. Height, 12 1/2", more or less.
